5 Tips on How to Be More Productive at the Office

We’ve all done this. We hurry into the workplace five minutes before your scheduled start time, holding a cup of coffee. Though you enjoy your job, it can be difficult to arrive at work each day energized and productive. It’s even more problematic when you’re sitting at a desk for an extended period of time. That is the essence of the job, but how can you shake things up a bit to create a more productive and pleasurable environment? Below Javier Loya, CEO of OTC Global Holdings offers 5 great tips to be more productive at the office.

Arrive at work at least 15 minutes early. This gives you time to take a deep breath and look at what you need to do that day.

Leave your desk for lunch. A change of scenery can help you get in a better mood.

Instead of working on one project until it’s finished, try working on each project for a set amount of time, then move on to something fresh.

Listen to music. And make sure it’s something soothing and relaxing.

Rest your eyes a few times throughout the day. Lubricant eye drops can keep your eyes hydrated. Your body needs hydration too so drink plenty of water and limit your caffeine intake.
