Meditation Exercises for the Weary Heart
In his book, Create Abundance, Zhang Xinyue, teaches us the proper way to meditate. This practice had been around for centuries and has been used to help people relax and let go of stress. It enables people to clear their minds and focus better.
During meditation, try to connect with your heart. What are your innermost desires? How are you truly feeling down deep? If you find negative emotions there, then sort them out and deal with them. Take a deep breath and let it all go. Sometimes it can be helpful to write down your feelings on a piece of paper. Now fold it up and hold it tightly in your hands. As you meditate, close your eyes. Hold your hands out. Now open them and release the paper. As you do, take a deep breath. You’re releasing all your cares and worries. You’re acknowledging your gratitude to a large, amazing universe. You are part of something incredible. The small worries of everyday life no longer matter. There are infinite possibilities all around us.
Continue to breathe deeply in and out with eyes closed. Try to stay in touch with your heart, your feelings. Allow nature and the universe to embrace you. As we let go of the small cares of life, we find greater joy in simply being alive. Zhang Xinyue has many other similar teachings in his book, Create Abundance.
